Code of Conduct

Guiding Principles for Ethical Engagement & Humanitarian Excellence

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct of Blessed-Day Relief Foundation establishes the ethical standards, values, and behavioral expectations that guide all individuals and entities engaging with our organization. This Code reflects our unwavering commitment to integrity, respect, and excellence in humanitarian service, providing a clear framework for conduct that honors the trust placed in us by those we serve and those who support our mission.

1

Purpose

Foundation of Ethical Standards

This Code of Conduct establishes the comprehensive ethical standards, organizational values, and behavioral expectations for all individuals and entities engaging with Blessed-Day Relief Foundation. As a humanitarian organization committed to serving vulnerable communities with integrity and compassion, we recognize that our effectiveness depends not only on the quality of our programs but equally on the ethical conduct of everyone associated with our mission.

The purpose of this Code extends beyond mere compliance with legal requirements. It articulates the moral foundation upon which all our relationships and activities are built, creating a shared understanding of what it means to be part of the Blessed-Day Relief Foundation community. This Code serves as both a guide for decision-making in complex situations and a standard against which conduct can be measured and evaluated.

Universal Application:

This Code applies to all stakeholders who engage with the Foundation in any capacity. Every individual and entity, regardless of their role or level of engagement, is expected to understand, accept, and adhere to these standards as a condition of their association with our organization.

This Code applies to:

Donors Beneficiaries Staff Volunteers Partners Contractors

By engaging with Blessed-Day Relief Foundation, all stakeholders acknowledge their responsibility to uphold these standards and contribute to an organizational culture characterized by ethical excellence. This Code is not simply a set of rules to be followed but a reflection of who we aspire to be as an organization and as individuals committed to humanitarian service.

2

Core Principles

Our Foundational Values

All stakeholders associated with Blessed-Day Relief Foundation are expected to uphold the following core principles. These principles represent the fundamental values that guide our organization and inform all aspects of our work. They are not merely aspirational statements but practical standards that should be reflected in daily conduct and decision-making.

Integrity & Honesty

We act with complete honesty in all our dealings, keeping our promises, honoring our commitments, and never engaging in deception or misrepresentation of any kind.

Respect for Human Dignity

We treat every person with respect, recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of all human beings regardless of their circumstances, background, or status.

Accountability & Transparency

We take responsibility for our actions, operate with openness, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders about our activities and decisions.

Non-Discrimination & Fairness

We treat all people fairly and equitably, without discrimination based on any characteristic, ensuring equal access to our services and opportunities.

Responsible Use of Resources

We steward all resources entrusted to us with care and efficiency, ensuring that charitable funds and organizational assets are used effectively for their intended purposes.

Integrity and Honesty: The Foundation and all its stakeholders must demonstrate unwavering commitment to truthfulness and ethical behavior. This means being forthright in communications, avoiding any form of deception, and ensuring that all representations made to others are accurate and complete. Integrity requires that we do what is right even when no one is watching, and that we maintain consistency between our stated values and our actual conduct.

Respect for Human Dignity: Every interaction within and through the Foundation must reflect deep respect for the inherent worth of every person. This principle recognizes that those we serve are not merely recipients of charity but individuals deserving of respect, autonomy, and participation in decisions that affect their lives. We honor diversity and treat all people with courtesy, compassion, and consideration.

Accountability and Transparency: We embrace our responsibility to account for our actions, decisions, and use of resources. Transparency means operating openly, sharing relevant information with stakeholders, and welcoming scrutiny of our activities. We acknowledge mistakes when they occur and take corrective action promptly and openly.

Living Our Principles:

These core principles are not abstract ideals but practical guides for daily conduct. Every stakeholder is expected to consider how these principles apply to specific situations and to make choices that reflect our collective commitment to ethical excellence in humanitarian service.

3

Expected Conduct

Standards of Behavior

All users, representatives, and stakeholders of Blessed-Day Relief Foundation are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with our values and mission. The following standards of conduct provide specific guidance on the behaviors expected of all who engage with our organization.

Act in Good Faith and with Honesty

All stakeholders must approach their engagement with the Foundation with genuine intentions and complete honesty. This means being truthful in all communications, honoring commitments made to others, and avoiding any conduct intended to deceive or manipulate. Good faith requires that individuals act with sincere intention to fulfill their responsibilities and contribute positively to the Foundation's mission. Deceptive practices, hidden agendas, or manipulation of any kind are incompatible with this standard and undermine the trust essential to our work.

Provide Accurate and Truthful Information

Information provided to or through the Foundation must be accurate, complete, and truthful. This applies to all forms of communication including applications, reports, financial information, program data, and any other documentation. Stakeholders must not knowingly provide false, misleading, or incomplete information, and must promptly correct any inaccuracies that come to their attention. The integrity of our humanitarian work depends on reliable information, and any compromise of this standard can have serious consequences for those we serve.

Respect the Rights, Privacy, and Dignity of Others

Every interaction must demonstrate respect for the fundamental rights, privacy, and dignity of all individuals. This includes respecting personal boundaries, protecting confidential information, and treating others with courtesy and consideration regardless of their role or status. Stakeholders must be particularly mindful of the vulnerability of those we serve and ensure that all interactions preserve and enhance their dignity rather than diminishing it. Privacy must be protected, personal information must be handled responsibly, and the autonomy of individuals must be respected.

Use the Platform Strictly for Lawful and Humanitarian Purposes

The Foundation's platforms, resources, and services must be used only for legitimate, lawful purposes aligned with our humanitarian mission. Any use of organizational resources for personal gain, illegal activities, or purposes contrary to our mission is strictly prohibited. Stakeholders must ensure that their use of Foundation resources contributes positively to our charitable objectives and does not bring the organization into disrepute or compromise our ability to serve those in need.

Comply with All Applicable Laws, Policies, and Platform Rules

All stakeholders must comply fully with applicable laws and regulations, Foundation policies and procedures, and any specific rules governing the use of organizational platforms and resources. Ignorance of applicable requirements is not an acceptable excuse for non-compliance. Stakeholders are expected to familiarize themselves with relevant requirements and to seek guidance when uncertain about what is required. Compliance is not merely a legal obligation but a reflection of our commitment to operating with integrity.

Standard of Care:

Beyond these specific requirements, all stakeholders are expected to exercise reasonable judgment and care in their interactions with the Foundation. When facing situations not explicitly addressed by this Code, stakeholders should consider what conduct would best reflect our values and serve our mission, and when in doubt, should seek guidance from appropriate Foundation personnel.

4

Prohibited Conduct

Strictly Forbidden Behaviors

Blessed-Day Relief Foundation explicitly prohibits the following behaviors. These prohibitions apply to all stakeholders without exception, and violations may result in serious consequences including termination of association with the Foundation and referral to appropriate authorities.

Zero Tolerance:

The Foundation maintains a zero-tolerance approach to the prohibited behaviors listed below. Any individual found to have engaged in such conduct will face appropriate consequences, which may include immediate termination and legal action.

Fraud, Misrepresentation, or False Claims

Any form of fraud, misrepresentation, or making of false claims is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: falsifying information in applications, reports, or other documents; making false claims about needs, circumstances, or eligibility; misrepresenting the use of funds or resources; creating false identities or impersonating others; and any other deceptive practices intended to obtain benefits, resources, or advantages to which one is not entitled. Such conduct undermines the integrity of our humanitarian work and diverts resources from those genuinely in need.

Harassment, Abuse, or Exploitation of Any User

Harassment, abuse, or exploitation of any person associated with the Foundation is absolutely prohibited. This encompasses physical, verbal, psychological, or sexual harassment; bullying or intimidation; abuse of power or position; exploitation of vulnerable individuals; and any conduct that creates a hostile, intimidating, or offensive environment. All individuals have the right to engage with the Foundation free from harassment and abuse, and the Foundation is committed to maintaining safe spaces for all stakeholders.

Discriminatory Behavior

Discrimination in any form is strictly prohibited. This includes discrimination based on gender, age, disability, ethnicity, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, socioeconomic status, or any other protected characteristic. All individuals must be treated fairly and equitably, with decisions based on legitimate, non-discriminatory criteria. The Foundation is committed to inclusion and equality, and discriminatory behavior violates our fundamental values and mission.

Misuse or Diversion of Funds

The misuse, misappropriation, or diversion of charitable funds or organizational resources is strictly prohibited. All funds and resources must be used solely for their intended purposes and in accordance with applicable restrictions and guidelines. This prohibition applies to all stakeholders who have access to or responsibility for organizational resources, including those involved in fundraising, financial management, program implementation, and procurement. Violations of this prohibition may constitute criminal offenses subject to prosecution.

Collusion, Manipulation, or Abuse of Platform Processes

Any attempt to collude with others, manipulate systems or processes, or abuse organizational platforms is strictly prohibited. This includes coordinated schemes to circumvent controls or requirements; manipulation of data, records, or systems; exploitation of technical vulnerabilities; creating fake accounts or identities; and any other conduct intended to undermine the integrity of Foundation processes. Such behavior compromises our ability to serve those in need effectively and may constitute criminal conduct.

5

Conflicts of Interest

Disclosure & Management

A conflict of interest arises when an individual's personal interests, relationships, or activities could potentially influence, or appear to influence, their judgment, decisions, or actions in their role with the Foundation. Blessed-Day Relief Foundation requires all stakeholders to identify, disclose, and appropriately manage any actual or potential conflicts of interest.

Key Requirement

Users and representatives must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest and must not use their position for personal gain.

Identifying Conflicts

Conflicts of interest may arise from various sources including financial interests in organizations with which the Foundation does business; family or personal relationships with other stakeholders; outside employment or business activities; receipt of gifts, hospitality, or other benefits; board memberships or advisory roles with other organizations; and any other circumstances where personal interests could conflict with Foundation duties.

Stakeholders should regularly assess their circumstances to identify any potential conflicts that may arise and should be attentive to situations where their objectivity could reasonably be questioned.

Disclosure Requirements

Upon identifying any actual or potential conflict of interest, stakeholders must promptly disclose it to appropriate Foundation personnel. Disclosures should be made in writing and should include sufficient detail to enable an informed assessment of the conflict and appropriate management measures.

Disclosure should occur as soon as the conflict is identified and certainly before participating in any decision or activity affected by the conflict. Late or incomplete disclosure may itself constitute a violation of this Code.

Prohibition on Personal Gain:

Under no circumstances may stakeholders use their position, access, or influence within the Foundation for personal gain or to benefit related parties. This prohibition is absolute and applies regardless of whether the Foundation is harmed by such conduct. The appearance of impropriety can be as damaging as actual wrongdoing, and stakeholders must conduct themselves in a manner that maintains public confidence in the Foundation's integrity.

6

Reporting Violations

Speaking Up Responsibly

The Foundation depends on stakeholders to report suspected violations of this Code of Conduct. Reporting concerns is not only permitted but encouraged and expected. The Foundation is committed to creating an environment where individuals feel safe to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.

Duty to Report:

Any suspected breach of this Code should be reported to Blessed-Day Relief Foundation through designated reporting channels. Reports will be treated confidentially to the extent possible while ensuring appropriate investigation and response.

Reporting Principles

Confidentiality

Reports will be treated with appropriate confidentiality. The identity of reporters will be protected to the extent possible, and information will be shared only with those who have a legitimate need to know for purposes of investigation and response.

Protection from Retaliation

The Foundation strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith. Any attempt to punish, intimidate, or disadvantage someone for making a good faith report will itself be treated as a serious violation of this Code.

Thorough Investigation

All reports will be taken seriously and investigated appropriately. The scope and nature of investigation will depend on the circumstances, but the Foundation is committed to understanding what occurred and taking appropriate action in response.

Good Faith Requirement

Reports must be made in good faith based on genuine belief that a violation may have occurred. Deliberately false or malicious reports are themselves violations of this Code and will be treated accordingly.

Stakeholders who are uncertain whether particular conduct constitutes a violation are encouraged to raise their concerns regardless. It is better to report a concern that proves unfounded than to remain silent about potential misconduct. The Foundation will handle all inquiries sensitively and will not penalize good faith reports that do not ultimately result in findings of misconduct.

7

Enforcement

Consequences & Accountability

Blessed-Day Relief Foundation is committed to enforcing this Code of Conduct consistently and fairly. Violations of this Code will result in appropriate consequences designed to address the misconduct, protect stakeholders and the organization, and deter future violations.

The Foundation applies a graduated approach to enforcement, with consequences proportionate to the nature and severity of the violation, the individual's history, and other relevant circumstances. However, certain serious violations may warrant immediate severe action regardless of prior history.

1

Warnings or Corrective Actions

For minor or first-time violations, the Foundation may issue formal warnings, require remedial training, implement enhanced supervision, or take other corrective measures designed to address the behavior and prevent recurrence.

2

Suspension or Termination of Access

For more serious or repeated violations, consequences may include suspension of access to Foundation platforms and services, termination of employment or volunteer relationships, cancellation of contracts or partnerships, or permanent exclusion from Foundation activities.

3

Legal or Regulatory Reporting

Where violations involve potentially criminal conduct or require regulatory reporting, the Foundation will refer matters to appropriate authorities. This may include law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, professional licensing authorities, or other relevant entities.

Serious Violations:

Certain violations are considered so serious that they may warrant immediate termination and referral to authorities regardless of prior history. These include fraud, abuse or exploitation of vulnerable persons, serious financial misconduct, and any conduct that poses significant harm to individuals or the organization.

Fair Process:

The Foundation is committed to fair process in all enforcement actions. Individuals facing allegations of misconduct will be informed of the concerns, given opportunity to respond, and treated with appropriate procedural fairness. However, the Foundation reserves the right to take immediate protective action where necessary to protect stakeholders or the organization from ongoing harm.

Our Shared Commitment

This Code of Conduct represents the shared ethical commitment of everyone who engages with Blessed-Day Relief Foundation. By adhering to these principles and standards, we collectively build an organization worthy of the trust placed in us by donors, beneficiaries, partners, and the communities we serve.

Ethical conduct is not merely a requirement but a reflection of who we are and what we stand for. Through our individual and collective commitment to integrity, respect, and accountability, we demonstrate that humanitarian service can be delivered with excellence while maintaining the highest standards of ethical behavior.
